With ocean going vessels able to trade into any port in the world and on occasion requiring local assistance, P&I Insurers found it necessary during the 19th century to develop a network of representatives or "Correspondents" to assist their ship owner members when problems were encountered.
The role of Robmarine Shipping (Overseas) Ltd is to assist the officers and crew of a vessel when they have P&I related problems in a port in which we have an office.
We are able to act as a general P&I Correspondent throughout the entire United Kingdom and are able to provide Owners and insurance facilities with immediate assistance with a wide verity of claims.
Our main East African office, located in Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania), is proud to have acted as Correspondent to the majority of P&I insurers over the last 23 years and continues to provide the highest quality of service.
